영시 원문 <인니스프리의 호도(湖島)>

I wii arise and go now, and go to Innisfree,

And a small cabin build there, of clay wattles made:

Nine bean-rows will I have there, a hive for the honey-bee,

And live alone in the bee-loud glade.

And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow,

Dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings;

There midnight's all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow,

And evening full of linnet's wings.

I will alise and go now, for always night and day

I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore;

While I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements grey,

I hear it in the deep hear's core.

나 일어나서 지금 가리라, 인니스프리로

거기 나뭇가지 엮어 진흙 바른 조그마한 오두막 짓고

아홉 이랑 콩밭 일구고, 꿀벌 한 통 치면서

벌떼소리 시끄러운 숲속의 빈터에 혼자 살리라.

거기서 작은 평화를 누리리니, 천천히 떨어져 내리는 평화는

아침노을에서부터 귀뚜라미 우는 곳으로 떨어지리니,

깊은 밤엔 온통 희미한 빛으로 명멸하며, 한낮엔 작열하는 보랏빛,

저녁이면 무리지어 날아오르는 방울새.

나 일어나서 지금 가리라, 물가에서 밤낮으로

나직하게 찰랑이는 호수의 물소리를 들으리니,

도시의 길 위에서거나 혹은 회색의 포도(鋪道)위에 서면

가슴속 깊이 응어리진 곳에 그 소리가 들리네.
